The generous people of Witchford have raised a whopping £1782.67 for the 2015 Poppy Appeal; a new record for Witchford.

Witchford residents Jo Forrest, Marisa Ann Brown, Peter Withel and Kathy Angier pounded the streets of Witchford going house to house. Between them they collected more than £560.00!

Witchford Post Office, The Village Inn, Witchford Sports & Social Club, Scotts Farm Shop, Jagutek, Treetops Soft Play, Midway Garage Ltd, Michell Instruments, Ely Tigers Rugby Club and their very generous customers raised over £799 via static collection tins.

And last, but definitely not least, Witchford Rackham Schools and Witchford Village College raised a over £418.00 thanks to the generous support of staff, parents and students alike.

More Help Needed for the 2016 Appeal

Penny Potter who lives in Witchford has been organising the Witchford Poppy Appeal since 2010. This year Penny has handed over the reins to Helen Meads and Craig 'Banjo' West who will jointly organise the 2016 Witchford appeal.

Helena and Banjo are now on the look out for some additional fresh volunteers.

If you’re a Witchford resident, over the age of 16 and can spare a few hours towards the end of October, please contact Helen Meads or Banjo West via email to helen@prestoav.com with your name, address and contact details for a no obligation chat.
