Let's protect the Millennium Wood for all

Witchford Parish Council wishes to remind villagers that the Millennium Wood is a wonderful place for all to enjoy, and asks that everyone treats it as they would wish their own garden to be treated. This is following reports that some people have been hacking down or pulling up trees, shrubs and other plants from the edge of the Wood to use as firewood. The Parish Council has no problem with small-scale responsibly managed campfires being made in the firepit at the centre of the Wood, but it does not want to see our beautiful Wood - which was created by villagers out of a bare field only 12 years ago - damaged or neighbouring landowners inconvenienced. PLEASE could all villagers and visitors use the Wood with the respect it deserves - after all, it is just like a big garden for the village.
