Morris Minor Owner's Club Special Day Thanks

Sunday 18th September saw 21 cars, all but two, Morris Minors, filling the forecourt of Midway Garages to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Morris Minor Owners Club. This included the Club car that is travelling the length and breadth of Britain visiting every branch and all nine Marie Curie Hospices (the chosen charity) en route.
The Village Inn opened its doors early to provide tea and coffee on tap and sustained a very busy workforce with the most delicious bacon and sausage baps ever!
The Marathon car arrived at Ian Allen’s the night before and was snug as a bug in his garage. He changed a couple of tyres as these were a reported issue so that it was good to go on it’s next leg.
The Cambridge Branch decorated both the Village Inn and Midway Garage with pictures of the cars coloured in by the children of Rackham School and even a few adults joined in to colour as well.
We cannot thank the good people of Witchford who helped us so much in making this a very special day for our Club. And if you want to know more about us, we meet at The Village Inn on the first Monday of every month (unless that Monday is a Bank Holiday).
